Construction of bituminous Road

Construction of bituminous Road

Bituminous road consist of their surface with bituminous materials which is also called as Asphalt. It is sticky dark viscous liquid obtained from natural deposits like crude petroleum. Bituminous road, also known as asphalt road, is a type of road surface commonly used for both urban and rural transportation. It is constructed using a mixture of bitumen (a sticky, black, and viscous petroleum product) and aggregate materials like crushed stone, sand, or gravel.

Bituminous roads offer several advantages, including a smooth riding surface, excellent waterproofing capabilities, and the ability to withstand heavy traffic loads. They are also relatively quick to construct and can be easily repaired and maintained. However, they may require periodic resurfacing and maintenance to address wear and tear caused by traffic and environmental factors.
